Are ball joints covered under the Kia new vehicle warranty?

I’ve noticed a vibration when I drive in my 2020 Kia, and I suspect it’s something with the ball joint. I’m taking it to my buddy, who’s a mechanic, tomorrow to check it out. If it is the ball joint, will my limited warranty cover replacement?

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers most repairs and replacements due to defects in workmanship or materials. Because they’re not a wear-and-use item, ball joints should be covered under the Kia bumper-to-bumper limited warranty. They should also be covered if you’ve purchased an extended warranty for your Kia.
If you need to confirm, contact your local Kia dealership and ask about warranty coverage.
If you’re unsure whether your ball joint is damaged, here are some signs to look out for:
  • Uneven wear on the front tires
  • Loud cabin vibrations
  • Wandering or loose steering
  • Clunking or rattling noise
To ensure your warranty remains valid, it’s important to keep your vehicle in good working condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs. For further protection beyond manufacturer defects, add
collision coverage
and
comprehensive coverage
to your
Kia car insurance
policy.
