Will getting a car insurance quote affect my credit score?
Since having a bad credit score can mean you need to pay more for insurance, I know that insurance companies check drivers' scores before giving them quotes. So does getting those quotes hurt my credit score? I've heard getting too many credit checks is bad.

Insurance companies do look at your credit score to determine your rate when they provide you with a quote. However, it is a “soft inquiry” on your credit report, which does not impact your score at all.
