My wife isn’t on my policy yet and she got into an accident with my car. Will my insurance cover the claims?

My wife just got her driver's license and I haven't added her to my car insurance policy yet. A few days ago, while she was driving and I was accompanying her, we got into a minor accident. There were no injuries and my wife is at fault. Will my full-coverage insurance cover my and the other driver's claims?

This may be up to the discretion of the insurance company. Most companies require you to disclose all drivers in your household, and they have the right to deny a claim if you didn’t notify them when your wife first received her license.
