Should I keep my insurance after selling my car?

I'm going to sell my current car. I don’t plan on buying a new one for a few months. Do I need to keep my insurance?

To make sure you are able to keep your continuous-insurance discount for when you purchase a new vehicle, you’ll want to either keep your current policy active or purchase a non-owner policy for the length of time you are without a vehicle. Otherwise, once you go over 31 days without insurance, you will lose all discounts for having prior insurance.
