Does home insurance offer liability coverage for drones and quadcopters?
I've got a small collection of drones I like to fly around on and near my property, but I'm nervous about potential disputes with neighbors or legal issues. Will my insurance protect me?

Yes, your drone will be covered by your homeowners or renters policy, just like the rest of your personal property is. What makes it a little different is the nature of the “toy.” The strongest concern these days is liability protection. Drones and quadcopters have injured people and caused many lawsuits. Since this is considered accidental, your liability coverage will provide protection.
There are also privacy concerns. If your drone accidentally wanders into someone else’s territory and you are sued because they feel that their privacy was violated, you may have coverage. If the privacy violation is intentional, your liability coverage will not kick in since acts of crime are not covered.
