There’s no set time for how long a cracked windshield will last—-but all cracks will grow over time.
The general guideline is that cracks smaller than three inches can be repaired or patched by a driver at their own home. Cracks between three and six inches should be repaired by a skilled professional.
A small repair job using epoxy resin could prolong the life of your windshield for years, so long as the structural integrity is intact.
However, cracks tend to grow as the seasons pass, bringing temperature changes and grime into the equation.
