RAV4 has been around since 1996 and has seen five generations of redesigns so far. Now that they've reached the 25-year anniversary mark, the company chose to celebrate its ability to offer reliable vehicles for so long.
is one of the vehicles at the top of the charts. What will we get with the 2022 RAV4?
What new features will the 2022 RAV4 offer?
Toyota is rolling out updates for the fifth-generation model, but don't expect anything groundbreaking. The main change you'll see for 2022 is the SE Hybrid version, which will make its debut soon.
Other new features include the Cavalry Blue paint that's now added to the list of paint colors. It's only for the new Hybrid trim, the RAV4 XSE, and the TRD Off-Road version as well. You will also get new headlights for the XLE trim and above.
For the interior, Toyota offers LED lamps, illuminated switches (for XLE and above), and a locked glove box. Also, as a nice surprise for the RAV4, there will be an eight-way power seat on the passenger side of the vehicle, according to
The newest trim level to enter the Toyota RAV4 lineup will be a Hybrid model. With this one, you can expect to see a 2.5-liter engine combined with a dual-electric motor setup. The two paired together generate a total of 219 horsepower.
As far as fuel economy is concerned, the RAV4 won't disappoint. While the gas-powered version boasts a 25-30 mpg estimate, the Hybrid offers 40 mpg combined. Since gas prices are climbing these days, having fuel savings like this will be a tremendous help.
For standard features, the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid will come with fabric seats, a six-speaker stereo system, and a seven-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment center. Available features include two package deals.
The weather package offers heated front seating, a heated leather steering wheel, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Toyota also has a convenience package that comes with a moonroof, a larger nine-inch touchscreen, and a power liftgate.
What will the RAV4 Hybrid cost, and when can we see it?
While Toyota hasn't released any information about the price of the new Hybrid model, you can expect it to be somewhere near the 2021 Hybrid XSE. With that trim, it came with a price tag of $36,065, according to
Toyota reported that the newest Hybrid trim for the 2022 model year will come in at mid-range, just underneath the XSE Hybrid. It's also slated to offer many of the same sporty-type features as the XSE trim.
The only difference is it would come in with a little lower price point than what you'd expect to see. As for when you can begin ordering your 2022 RAV4 model, it appears Toyota will start offering it in December of this year. The price will be announced then, as well.
