that rapper Tupac Shakur was shot in is now on the market.
If you have a couple million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, you could be the new owner. That is if you feel like sharing the same interior that the late rap legend passed in.
Tupac Shakur's final ride was in a BMW 750iL
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was riding around Las Vegas with Suge Knight. Knight was not only Shakur's friend but also one of the co-founders of Death Row Records, the record label that Shakur was signed to at the time.
pulled up alongside the now-famous 1996 BMW 750iL. An unidentified gunman inside of the Cadillac fired at Shakur and Knight, hitting them both. Knight sustained only minor injuries, while Shakur would pass away from his injuries six days later.
Today's $1.75 million price tag is controversial, to say the least. When purchased new in 1996, that BMW model would have cost around $90,000 according to
showroom in Las Vegas. The car is a five-speed automatic with a black leather interior and just over 121,000 miles.
The dealer claims that this is the first time since Shakur's death that the vehicle has been up for sale or put on display. The last owner reportedly did a full restoration, although Celebrity Cars claims that, "There is a small indentation where we believe one of the bullet holes was but it is hard to tell."
The car will come with documentation proving its authenticity, including a certificate showing that it was purchased by Death Row Records.
It's now been 25 years since Shakur died, and his killer still hasn't been caught. Over the years, there's been a swirl of conspiracy theories, but no arrests.
Possible suspects have included members of the Crips gang and fellow rapper The Notorious B.I.G. Yet another rumor claimed that Knight's ex-wife had a hit out on him, and Shakur was simply caught in the crossfire.
Could the BMW that Tupac was shot in end up at a museum?
It remains to be seen what will happen with the BMW that Tupac took his final ride in. Will a wealthy private collector scoop it up? Or, maybe it will end up at the car gallery in the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, which is home to some of history's most notorious cars.
The museum is located in Pigeon Forge, TN, and houses Ted Bundy's classic Volkswagen Beetle. Visitors can also take selfies with the famous Ford Bronco that O.J. Simpson rode in during his low-speed police chase.
