How big is a Tesla Model X battery?

The 2022 Tesla Model X (as well as other model years) all have a 100kWh battery thanks to new lithium-ion technology.

While other Tesla models use different batteries depending on the trim level, both the base Model X and Plaid Model X use the same type of battery. The difference between them lies in the number of motors and horsepower.

While the Plaid Model S has increased speed and performance (0 to 60MPH in just 2.5 seconds with 1,020 horsepower), it pays for it in the range department. The Plaid Model X needs to charge after 335 miles, while the base Model X can go 351 miles. The trade-off is that the base Model X is not quite as powerful – 0 to 60 MPH in 3.8 seconds with 670 horsepower.

Keep in mind that new Tesla Model Xs have a Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty that protects the battery for 8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
