How often to change oil on a 2008 Acura MDX

How to change your oil and oil filter
Once you’ve hit the 10,000 mile benchmark or noticed the symptoms of dirty oil, you’re ready to change your oil and oil filter. Let’s get started!
Ensure you have the following materials:
- A socket wrench
- A drain pan
- A filter wrench
- A replacement filter
- 5 quarts of 5W-20 engine oil
Before you pop the hood, let your engine run and heat to its normal operating weather. This should only take a few minutes. Next, open the hood and locate the oil fill reservoir. Follow the steps below to change your oil:
- Remove the oil fill cap from the oil fill reservoir
- Remove the oil drain bolt and washer and let the old oil drain into the drain pan
- As the oil drains, remove the old oil filter
- Install the new filter
- Replace and tighten the oil drain bolt
- Refill the engine with your new oil and replace the fill cap
- Close the hood and start your engine to allow the new oil to fill the filter
- Use your dipstick to ensure you’ve added the right amount of oil to the engine
Once the oil change is complete, the
oil pressure light
