The smallest Acura SUV is the spritely RDX, measuring in at 187.4 inches long.
Despite its small size, the RDX has plenty to offer. Its perky 2.0 L turbocharged inline-4 cylinder engine with 272 horsepower delivers a fun ride, solid acceleration, and responsive and precise steering. Overall, the ride is balanced with very little body roll, and its cabin is well-insulated from road noise. Sure, the brake pedal could be slightly more responsive, but overall the RDX is a nimble little SUV that’s a ball to drive. It gets a reasonable 25 combined miles per gallon for both city and highway driving.
The RDX sports a stylish exterior that’s been tweaked to add larger air intakes on the front bumper, an adjusted rear bumper with rectangular exhaust tips, and a few new colors to choose from, including Long Beach Blue Pearl on the limited PMC Edition.
The interior is nice, but it does not measure up to the luxurious standards of some of the RDX’s rivals. Both drivers and passengers will enjoy the ambient lighting, power-adjustable and heated front seats, dual climate control system, and a higher driving position. A 10-inch screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration is standard. But with a starting price of $41,995, you still might be left wanting more lux than what you get.
