background
With an engine capable of producing 296 horsepower and a top speed of 149 mph, the Maserati Grecale GT is the cheapest new Maserati on the market today.
If you want to become a Maserati owner without paying the typical six-figure price tag, your dreams might finally come true with the recent addition to this Italian automaker’s lineup: the Maserati Grecale GT.
Here’s a guide on how you can find this (relatively) inexpensive Maserati.

The Grecale is the cheapest Maserati you can buy

Starting at a base MSRP of $64,995 ($63,000, plus a destination charge of $1,495) for 2023, the Maserati Grecale GT is the cheapest model from the Italian luxury car producer.
Essentially a luxury midsize SUV, the Grecale GT is equipped with a four-cylinder mild hybrid engine capable of 296 horsepower with a top speed of 149 mph and a combined mileage of 25 mpg.
Along with the Levante, the Grecale represents Maserati’s foray into sport utility vehicles. It also represents Maserati’s commitment to going all-electric by 2030 with a fully electric Grecale to be released in the near future using Maserati’s 400V technology.

How much cheaper is the Grecale GT?

Even at the very expensive MSRP and destination charge of $64,995, the Grecale GT is far and away the “cheapest” Maserati available. The next cheapest automobile in Maserati’s line-up is a whopping $20,000 more expensive—and that’s simply for the base model. See below for the MSRPs of Maserati’s 2023 line-up:
  • 2023 Maserati Ghibli: $85,300
  • 2023 Maserati Levante: $90,700
  • 2023 Maserati Quattroporte: $108,400
  • 2023 Maserati MC20: $212,000
  • 2023 Maserati MC20 Cielo: $250,000
  • 2022 Maserati GranTurismo: $295,000

How to find an affordable Grecale GT

With supply chain shortages, an overwhelming demand for luxury vehicles, and the fact that there are only 112 Maserati dealerships in the United States, you would be very fortunate to find a Grecale GT for sale at a price close to its initial MSRP. Use these tips to avoid getting price-gouged when entering the wild world of Maserati ownership.
  • Stick with the GT trim. The Grecale has two upper trim levels after the GT trim: the Grecale Modena (starting at an estimated $72,000) and the Grecale Trofeo (starting at $100,000, estimated). Both prices are a far cry from the initial $64,995 for the GT.
  • Avoid unnecessary upgrades. All one needs to do to realize just how exorbitantly expensive any upgrades to the Grecale GT are is visit the “

” page on the Maserati website. Not only would a minor adjustment to color, interior trim, or wheels become an expense in the thousands of dollars—one of these selections could also jack up your potential

    costs.
  • Wait a few years and go used. The Grecale was unveiled in 2020 and entered into production at Maserati's Cassino Plant in March 2022. With a car this new, it will most likely take a few years of production for the Grecale to work out its bugs. Plus, although Maseratis are luxury vehicles with powerful engines, they aren’t known for their overall quality.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
