Is motorcycle insurance required?
In almost all states, there are requirements for minimum liability coverage for motorcycles. In all states except Florida, you’ll need to show proof of motorcycle insurance before you can even register your bike and get a license plate.
Is it cheaper to insure a motorcycle than a car?
Generally, yes. Motorcycles tend to be cheaper to insure than cars. Motorcycles are generally cheaper to repair and replace, they cause less damage when at fault, and are generally not driven in inclement weather.
