Most expensive Jeeps: Over $70,000

OK, this one isn’t over $70,000, but it deserves an honorable mention. The 1988 Jeep Wrangler Sahara was spotted for $50,000 on Autotrader, as the owner claims it was once owned by Carroll Shelby himself.
It really is the most sought-after configuration for a YJ. The Jeep features a five-speed manual transmission with a 4.2-liter inline-6 engine. It also received meaty tires, a Weber carburetor, front driving lights, and chrome tubular bumpers.
The 2010 Grand Cherokee WK2 mid-size SUV starts at $70,000. The ultra-safe offers drivers two engine options. The 3.6-liter V6 VVT engine has 290 hp and 257 lb-ft of torque. For more power and towing capability, buyers can opt for the 5.7-liter Hemi VVT. With a top speed of 147 mph, the Jeep can reach 60 mph in 7.7 seconds.
The V8-powered 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 has a starting price of $75,000. The Jeep offers a 6.4-liter engine that pumps out 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The speedster only needs 4.5 seconds to reach 60 mph.
Drivers get to enjoy extra standard features like unique suspension geometry, heavy-duty brakes, 33-inch tires, upgraded frame rails, and Fox shocks. “It also boasts improved approach, departure, and break over angles, full-time Selec-Trac 4WD, and a Hydro-Guide air intake system to keep water away from the engine while wading,”
Top Speed
reports.
The 2006 Grand Cherokee SRT8 is worth $80,000. The Jeep houses a re-engineered all-wheel drive and innovative Street and Racing Technology. With rock-solid handling, “its commanding presence on the road is orchestrated by a firm front axle and a sturdier rear bearing a Dana 44 differential,”
HotCars
notes.
It also has stiffer springs, Blisten dampers, larger anti-roll bars, and a lower ride height. The
SUV
features a 6.1-liter V8 engine that cranks out 420 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. And in under five seconds, it can hit 60 mph.

Most expensive Jeeps: Over $100,000

The range-topping Series III 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer at $105,995 and can easily hit the $111,930 with extra bells and whistles.
If you want a stylish interior with two-tone paint combining the main Velvet Red shade with an upper Black hue, expect to pay an extra $995. The 22-inch machined wheels donned with black accents are an additional $995 as well.
According to HotCars, “The 2022 Grand Wagoneer Series III can be ordered with optional metallic accents that add $795 to the final bill while a rear-seat entertainment system consisting of dual 10.1-inch screens costs $1,995.” Jeep also offers an Interior-Protection Package, a Finishing Package, and a Heavy-Duty Trailer-Tow Package.
The 2012-2016 Grand Cherokee SRT8 luxury SUV starts at $120,000. The auto features a sleek Sarona Design body and can hit a top speed of 155 mph. It takes the performance vehicle 4.8 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph.
The 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT WK2 goes for $130,000. The masterpiece has won over 30 awards including best vehicles for off-road trips, best-in-class, safety, and luxury. “The vehicle comes with increased aerodynamic efficiency and sheer ruggedness, high durability, and reduced noise vibration,” HotCars tells us.

Just plain expensive Jeeps

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport is one expensive two-door. With a price of $137,995 on Autotrader, the Jeep houses a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine, which we’re used to seeing in a four-door Wrangler Unlimited.
According to
Autotrader
, “It also has 392 graphics on the sides and the hood, plus other upgrades similar to other Wrangler models you find in this price range, like Katzkin leather seats and massive Nitto Trail Grappler tires.”
A 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X was spotted for $199,880 on Autotrader. The heavily modified car received a supercharged LSX 454-cubic-inch V8 engine, Innov8 wheels with 40-inch BFGoodrich Baja T/A tires, a RackWorks roof rack with LED lighting, and an Icon Coilover suspension to name a few changes.
The Hurricane Concept, one of the most expensive Jeeps of all,was revealed during the 2005 North American International Show in Detroit and later won the IDEA Silver award.
