If you’ve ever purchased a car, you’ve more than likely heard the term “trim.” Trims essentially refer to slightly different versions of the same car, and features and price vary by trim.
When looking at a car with multiple trims, it can be hard to differentiate among them and determine which is best for you to purchase. Jerry
, the car ownership super app
, breaks down the different Hyundai
Palisade trims for the 2022 model, plus gives you insider information on which we think is the best overall. What are the Hyundai Palisade trim levels?
The Hyundai Palisade has four trims: SE, SEL, Limited and Calligraphy. The trims are listed here from base model to most luxurious model, and go up in price accordingly.
Depending on what trim of the Hyundai Palisade you select, prices will range from around $35,000 to $50,000 for a 2022 model. Features and add-ons are also dependent on the trim you select.
Hyundai Palisade SE
The Hyundai Palisade SE is the base model of this vehicle that drivers can get their hands on for about $34,895. All models of the Hyundai Palisade have a slew of safety features, an easy to use infotainment system and a roomy cabin.
Consumer Reports
states the 2022 Palisade rides comfortably and has an interior full of thoughtful details. The good news is even if you opt for the base SE model of the Hyundai Palisade, you won’t lose any of these thoughtful features or compromise the integrity of the car. Plus, all models of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade feature a 3.8-liter, V6 engine with 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, the SE can tow 5,000 lbs. In a nutshell, the Hyundai Palisade SE is a reliable car; it’s just missing the bells and whistles.
Hyundai Palisade SEL
For a price about $37,245, the mid-range SEL is Car and Driver’s
top pick for the Hyundai Palisade. The SEL has everything the base SE model does, plus some added perks. On the outside of the car, the SEL model has roof rails, makingroad trips
and travel even easier, and proximity key entry for convenience. On the inside, there’s a leather-wrapped steering wheel, more advanced power seats, and heated front seats. Hyundai Palisade Limited
Coming in around $47,000, the Hyundai Palisade Limited is where this car starts becoming seriously luxurious. This trim is MotorTrend’s
favorite of the bunch, as reviewers think the extra benefits are worth the extra $10,000. The Limited has an upgraded interior with leather seats in all three rows, ventilated seats up front, heated seats in the first and second rows, and third row seats that fold back into the floor with a push of a button. There’s also a car intercom for easy conversation throughout the vehicle.
The technology in the Hyundai Palisade Limited is impressive. It has satellite navigation, a 12-speaker stereo, and a larger 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, compared to the 8-inch screen on the SE and SEL.
Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy
Coming in just under $50,000, the Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy upgrades the luxury of the Limited even further.
One great perk of the Calligraphy is that it automatically comes with all-wheel drive, which is a $1,700 upgrade for all other trims of the Palisade. Besides that, drivers can enjoy small luxury touches such as custom wheel design, quilted leather door panels, and a microfiber suede headliner.
Choosing among Hyundai Palisade trim levels
Choosing between the different Hyundai Palisade trim levels comes down to personal preference, we’d say your best options are the mid-level trims: the SEL or the Limited.
If you’d like a car with a smooth drive and impressive features, the SEL is a great choice, as it’s a step above the base model but still in a similar price range. If you enjoy more luxurious features, the Limited provides fantastic upgrades, while the Calligraphy doesn’t provide too much extra value for your money.
