Gone are the days of millionaires being the only supercar owners. With many affordable supercars available now, anyone has the ability to go fast and look good doing it!
Manufacturers around the globe are producing
supercars
, a significant expansion from the original European players. While there are some new and exciting options on the
market
, you can also find many used supercars to accommodate a modest budget.

Brand new affordable supercars

Of course, it wouldn't be a legitimate list of affordable supercars if we did not include Porsche. Make that two! The 911 Carerra S is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six engine that produces 443 hp and moves from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The price tag is $118,000.
Or, for only $102,000, you can own a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. This model is a little more economical and therefore, more popular. It has an output of 414 hp and moves from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
The Chevrolet Corvette remains an American sports car staple having been in production for nearly seven decades now. The 6.2-litre V8 creates 490 hp. Pricing starts at $60,900, but
MotorBiscuit
recommends investing $70,000 for the 2LT model.
Built with a dual-exhaust system that sounds like an exotic supercar, the BMW M8 Competition Coupe can also travel from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds flat. The TwinPower Turbo V8 offers up a whopping 617 hp and costs $147,695.
Germany also has a couple of affordable supercars available. The Audi R8 Coupe has a V10 engine that moves from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. You can own a top track speed of 205 mph for $152,000. The Mercedes-Benz AMG-GT Coupe will do 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, but only cost you $120,000. The twin-turbo V8 packs a lot of punch with an output of 523 hp.
Many may oppose the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock making it on the affordable supercars list. However, with the highest horsepower of any production car ever made, it must be considered! The 6.2-liter V8 makes 807 hp and travels 0 to 60 mph in 3.25 seconds. For $90,000, you can drive up to 168 mph.

Pre-loved affordable supercars

While on the topic of Dodge, buyers of affordable supercars can always take into consideration the Viper GTS. The V10 engine on a 1996 coupe delivers 450 hp and is worth $67,000.
Japan has a couple of used vehicles worthy of your attention. The Acura NSX boasts a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 573 hp. It sells for $145,000.
For a very affordable $57,200, you can buy a 1991 Honda NSX. According to
HotCars
, the aerodynamic design was developed alongside Formula One legend Ayrton Senna. It has a lightweight all-aluminum body and 3.0-liter V6 engine with the VTEC system.
If your budget won’t allow for a brand new Porsche 911, perhaps a 2005 Turbo at $46,000 will! The 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine creates 444 hp. The model’s timeless design means onlookers won’t know the year of your new-to-you supercar.
Own a 2019 Aston Martin DB11 for $160,000. It’s available in a V8, but the V12 has 503 hp and a top speed of 190 mph. One of the most affordable supercars is the 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage at $42,100. As the carmaker’s most successful model ever, the Vantage is a hand-built grand tourer. It has a 4.7-liter V8 that produces 420 hp and travels from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds.
If you’re just buying for looks, then the 2020 Alfa Romeo 4C might be for you! The 1.75-liter turbo-four has a mere 237 hp. While it looks like other affordable supercars, and only costs $67,150, its racing performance is mediocre.
The 2000 Ferrari 456M GT offers that classic supercar look for $65,500. Designed by the famous Pininfarina, this was the last model with pop-up headlights. It’s 5.5-liter V12 has an output of 436 hp. You could own the famous Lamborghini brand in a 2004 Gallardo for $79,000. A best-selling model with over 14,000 units produced, this supercar is powered by a 5.0-liter V10 with 493 hp.
A 2009 Nissan GT-R sells for just $39,000, or half as much as its European equivalents. It was the sports car with the least amount of drag at that time while traveling up to 193 mph. The 3.8-liter DOHC V6 engine pumps out 480 hp and goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
One of the most affordable supercars is the 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG at $38,300. This true performer has a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Over-engineered with 604 hp, it is also one of the most powerful sports cars of that decade.
