gave the Sierra 1500 a major upgrade, and the pickup truck is back and even better for 2023, with more enhancements for the driver. The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 has eight fantastic trims for drivers to select from during the purchasing process.

The Sierra 1500 Pro is the base model of the pickup truck, coming in at a starting price of $36,400. According to
Autotrader
, the Pro is the only model that offers all three cab configurations, which are regular, double, and crew. It’s powered by a 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine that gets 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. The Pro also features a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus LED headlights.
2023 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE
The GMC Sierra 1500 SLE is the second trim level, with a starting price of $47,700. It comes standard with the same 2.7-liter engine that’s in the Pro, but drivers can opt to upgrade to a 5.3-liter V8 engine that makes 355 hp or a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine with 277 hp.
Some notable upgrades from the Pro to the SLE are a 13.4-inch infotainment system, cruise control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel, plus heated outboard mirrors.
Elevation
The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation is the favorite trim among many car reviewers.

likes the Elevation because it occupies a middle ground in pricing, and has a great look and various options for drivers. It has the same engine options as the SLE, but the appearance package is what gives the Elevation a leg up. Drivers can expect a black grille, 20-inch black wheels, LED fog lights, high-capacity suspension, and monochromatic accents.
SLT
Next up is the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT, with a starting price of $53,200. Compared to the earlier three trims, the SLT takes it up a notch in many ways.
The same three engine options are available to drivers, but the SLT also has an option to get a 6.2-liter V8 engine that makes 420 hp, which seriously improves the power and speed of the truck. Other upgrades include 10-way power adjusting passenger seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and a better sound system.
Denali
Coming in at a price of $63,800, the Denali is a more luxury trim in the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. It has the same three engine options available as the Elevation and SLE, plus a crew cab and four-wheel drive.
The luxury features you can find in the Denali include surround view camera, leather bucket seats, 20-inch alloy wheels, 10-way power adjustable front seats, wireless phone charging, and multiple safety features.
AT4
Starting at $64,400, the GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 is one of the trims meant for off roading.

, the only drivetrain available on the AT4 is four-wheel drive, and the only transmission is a 10-speed automatic. Drivers can opt for the 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine or the 6.2-liter V8 with this trim. It has skid plates, off road tires, engine block heater, rear exhaust system, recovery hooks, and an air filter. In short, this truck means business when it comes to off roading.
AT4X
With a price starting at $77,500, the AT4X is a big jump in cost from the AT4, but it does come with many upgraded features and is still great for off-roading.
Autotrader reports the AT4X has everything the AT4 does, plus upgraded 18-inch black wheels, a 170-amp alternator, an external engine oil cooler, 16 way power adjustable seats with massage, and a 12 speaker sound system. It comes standard with the 6.2-liter V8 and all-wheel drive.
Denali Ultimate
Lastly, we have the most expensive 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 trim, the Denali Ultimate.
For $80,500, you can have all the features and perks listed in this article, with your choice of the 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine or the 6.2-liter V8. For later model years, GMC plans to equip the Denali Ultimate with semi-autonomous driving.
