The 2022 Ford Edge SEL AWD
daily commuter is available for at least 5% off of its $39,345 price tag until Oct. 3. You could also get up to $4,650 cash back until Jan. 3. The Edge is a well-rounded vehicle with steady handling and a quiet interior. The firm ride feels upscale and features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 250 hp.
Its low floor and large door openings make it easy to get in and out of the vehicle. The cabin features soft-touch surfaces, supportive front seats, and plenty of leg and headroom in the rear. The SEL trim offers dual-zone automatic climate control and a 10-way power driver’s seat.
With the exception of the base model, cooled/heated seats and a heated steering wheel are available. If you’re sitting up front, you can take advantage of the smartphone-sized slots in the center console or the deep-covered bin for storage.
The new car gets an overall EPA of 22 mpg, with 15 mpg in town and 31 mpg on the highway.
Consumer Reports gave the 2022 Ford Edge an overall score of 80. The new car received a 5 out of 5 rating for its braking, rear seat comfort, and climate system.
The SUV earned 4 out of 5 for its acceleration, transmission, routine handling, headlights, ride, and noise. It received the same score for its front-seat comfort, front/rear access, usability, and interior fit/finish.
The 2022 Ford Expedition
Oct. 3 is also the last date you can get the 2022 Ford Expedition
Max Limited 4WD for at least 5% below its $72,105 MSRP. Consumer Reports gave the SUV a #1 rating in its Large Sport-Utility Vehicles category. If you add a heated steering wheel, first- and second-row heated seats, Sync connect telematics, and the Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist system with adaptive cruise control the mid-trim Limited is where it's at.
Compared to the standard Expedition, the Max is about a foot longer and rivals the Chevy Suburban. While it makes parking a bit tricky, for large families it's worth the extra cargo space behind the third row.
The SUV boasts a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that pumps out 375 hp. The composed ride comes across a bit stiff, but its handling is well-controlled when pushed to the brink.
The Ford Expedition’s high-quality interior is modern and spacious. The second row offers passengers plenty of room, plus extra storage and dedicated climate controls. The standard 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment system and rotary dial gear selector are intuitive and user-friendly.
Buyers can expect an overall EPA of 16 mpg, with 11 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
The 2022 Ford Expedition received an overall score of 73 from Consumer Reports. It scored 5 out of 5 for its rear seat comfort, usability, trunk/cargo area, and climate system.
