What does the 2022 GMC Sierra’s Denali trim include?
Before we get started, we should explain one thing: Sierra trims should be split into two groups: the off-road ready and the workhorses. The Denali trims belong in the latter category.
That said, they both offer a lot of power. The Denali offers a choice of a 3.0L diesel engine or an upgrade from 2.7-liter four-cylinder to a 5.3-liter V8. Pay the extra $20,000 for the Denali Ultimate and you get access to the 6.2-liter V8.
SuperCruise, GMC’s driver assistance system, is available only in these two trims, as is the brand’s carbon-fiber composite truck bed.
Premium suspension, authentic wood interiors, and other unique stylings in and out come with the upgrade. The Denali Ultimate also includes 12 Bose speakers and an enhanced sound system.
Is upgrading a GMC Sierra to a Denali worth it?
Choosing whether to go for a Denali obviously depends on personal preference, but for the practically minded, it doesn’t make that much sense.
Most of the functions provided in the Denali can be found in trims with much cheaper starting prices. The SLT trim, for example, gives you the engine upgrade offered in the Denali.
