is expanding its off-road options with a redesigned F-150 Raptor, and a new Tremor package available on every Ford truck.
Both the Raptor and Tremor have been designed for optimal off-road performance, but with a few key differences. Read on to learn which one is right for you.

, the Ford Tremor package is available on the Ranger, F-150, and Super Duty trucks. If you opt for the Super Duty, the Tremor package can be combined with a gas or diesel V-8 engine.
No matter what size truck you choose, the Tremor’s updated suspension boasts more ground clearance for improved off-road handling. Redesigned bumpers and underbody skid plates provide an extra layer of protection.
The Tremor package also features locking differentials that provide 100% of available torque to the trim-specific wheels. These wheels are clad with extra-wide, all-terrain tires to aid with your off-road adventures, and help maintain your vehicle's towing and payload capacities.
The F-150 Raptor has achieved legendary status among off-road enthusiasts, and for good reason. Fender flares, sleek running lights and an imposing front grille combine for an unmistakable aesthetic that screams "beast mode!"
The Raptor has a custom frame, riding atop 35 or 37-inch all-terrain tires. The suspension system incorporates adaptive shock absorbers and provides ample ground clearance. Locking differentials are combined with multiple driving modes, each designed for a different type of terrain.
Although it is capable of crawling over just about anything, MotorTrend explains the Raptor is designed more for handling and speed.
The standard Ford F-150 Raptor already has a twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 engine, but the F-150 Raptor R model, scheduled for release in 2022, will boast an even more powerful V-8 engine.
If there is a downside to the Raptor, it is that the towing and hauling capabilities are less than some other models in the F-150 range, but with a max payload of 1,400 pounds and 8,200 pounds of towing capacity, it is no slouch either.
. While the Super Duty Tremor feels too large and unwieldy for true off-roading, the Tremor package turns the 2021 Ford Ranger from an average truck into an awesome off-roader.
However, if the size is right, you shouldn’t look past the Ford Raptor. It is beautiful to look at, boasts incredible on and off-road performance, and is faster and more agile than any truck with the Tremor package.
