My name isn't on my parents' insurance card. Am I driving uninsured?
I'm 16 and I've started to drive by myself. My parents say they added my name to their car insurance policy, but my name is missing from the insurance card. Does this mean I'm not on their plan after all? Am I driving uninsured?

Thanks for your question! In most cases, only the named insured (the owner of the policy) and/or the person who owns the vehicle are listed on the ID card. As long as your name is listed as a driver on the policy, it doesn’t matter whether you’re on the ID card — you’re covered under the policy as a driver.
