Is insurance from a rental car company enough for a driver with no personal auto policy?

I'm planning to rent a car while vacationing in Florida. I don't own a car and I have no insurance. Is buying insurance from the rental car company sufficient for this trip?

Thanks for your question! Purchasing insurance from the rental car company is sufficient as long as it offers both liability coverage and physical damage coverage for the vehicle. If the rental car company isn’t able to provide liability coverage, you should look into getting temporary non-owner coverage through a traditional insurance company to make sure there’s no liability exposure if you cause damage or injury to someone else.
